Roubaix 28 hours
Parc Barbieux
66th edition, 15th-16th September 2018
Qualifying race for the 2020 Paris-Alsace

47 walkers started the 28 hours and 3 teams made up the 24 hour relay team race.

Ossipov taking his 10th win in 2019 with a reverse of last years result where the winner was David Vandercoilden and second over the line was Ossipov.

Tatiana Maslova was the ladies winner.

For the first time in decades, there were no British walkers taking part in the the individual 28 hours or the 24 hour relay. This has seen a gradual decine in interest on behalf of British walkers. Why? Some of the usual relay team were injured but is there no-one else interested? ANd is no-one prepared to race for 28 hours?
2018 - 1 x 28 hour entrant - Richard McChesney plus 1 team: the Lightening Ladies
2017 - 2 in the 28 hours: Richard McChesney and Suzanne Beardsmore and the Lightening Ladies in the 24 hour relay

.... and in previous years several relay teams and many 28 hours walkers - dating back decades.
